Security & Trust

Resilience Begins With Responsible Engineering

Stratic Systems develops continuity and sensing technologies intended for use in mission-critical environments.

Because failure in these contexts impacts communities, infrastructure, and national resilience, security is treated as a core engineering requirement — not a product feature.

If a system must operate through disruption, its security must operate through disruption as well.

Controlled Technical Disclosure

Certain design elements, communication methods, and autonomy mechanisms are not publicly disclosed and may only be shared under:

  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
  • Confidential or restricted research partnerships
  • Export-controlled frameworks
  • CUI-aligned processes or government review

Patent filings do not expose internal logic, implementation detail, or operational methodology.

Continuity as a Security Principle

Stratic systems are engineered to maintain secure operation when infrastructure is degraded, fragmented, or unavailable. This includes:

  • continuity of local operation without cloud dependency
  • secure synchronization after partial outages
  • failure-aware recovery without corruption
  • edge autonomy within bounded authority

Security extends beyond encryption — it includes secure behavior during failure.

Our Security Commitments

1) Minimal & Mission-Relevant Data

We collect only the information required for environmental, operational, or continuity function. We do not collect:

  • personal behavior
  • social preferences
  • unrelated citizen data
  • monetizable identity information

Stratic does not use collected data for advertising, profiling, or surveillance.

2) Operator & Organizational Control

Data belongs to the operators responsible for the mission. They retain control of:

  • access rights
  • visibility levels
  • data sharing preferences
  • operational retention policies

Stratic does not resell or repurpose operational data.

3) Encryption + Authority Boundaries

When data must be transmitted:

  • communication is encrypted
  • access is segmented by authority role
  • sensitive functions may require multi-factor or offline-verified control

If a system is offline, it captures only mission-essential data until a secure channel returns.

4) Separation of Operational Concerns

Operational sensing, autonomy logic, and limited user roles are intentionally separated to minimize risk.

This reduces the ability for external actors to manipulate or extract cross-linked insight.

5) Built to Survive Outages

Stratic technologies treat outages as an expected condition, not an exception.
Secure continuity requires:

  • no loss of operational history
  • protection against corrupted synchronization
  • guarded autonomy during degraded states
  • safe fallback modes when connectivity is uncertain

A secure system must not depend on perfect infrastructure.

Regulatory Alignment

As research transitions toward deployment, Stratic will align with applicable frameworks including, as relevant:

  • NIST Cybersecurity & Resilience Standards
  • Federal continuity and C2 resilience guidance
  • Critical infrastructure protection standards
  • State and municipal emergency directives
  • Export compliance and U.S. security controls

Our approach is proactive — security is built for where these systems are going, not where they currently are.

Security Is Not a Marketing Feature

Resilience demands security as a condition of continuity, not a selling point.
Systems that must persist through disruption must protect integrity when disruption occurs.

Security is not a feature.
It is a prerequisite for continuity.
